Pressure Washing Community Spotlight
In the spotlight in this month are Bill McFarlin and his dog Star of McFarlin's Cleaner Times, of Flint, TX. Some of you may think you have seen Bill and Star before, maybe you have. They can currently be seen on "Greatest American Dog", showing on CBS on Wednesday evenings at 8pm et/pt and 7 ct, where 12 teams compete for $250,00 this summer.
Bill has been in the pressure washing industry for 16 years. Bill admits that he and Star like to give seminars to bring smiles to faces with Star’s many tricks. He describes himself as someone who wants to have fun, work hard and enjoy life. Star (full name is Flying Orange Star) often brings Bill to Delco Cleaning Systems of Fort Worth office, where she loves to perform. Star has been trained in field trials, obedience and agility. Star has had some training in tracking, as well. Star performs with Bill at churches, civil groups, local summer reading programs at libraries, retirement homes and local fairs. If you don’t already know Rick, he was the founder and president of Dominion Restoration and developer of what we used to think was the best concrete cleaner we had ever seen. He left his position at Dominion about three years ago and the company disappeared from the map soon after.
Rick’s back with a new company, Delta Restoration Products and a reformulated concrete cleaner, Delta 60. Delco Cleaning Systems of Fort Worth is currently the only company who has it, and we’re not complaining. Our customers are raving about his new product to the point that our initial stocking order depleted in one week!
Delta 60 has newly developed wetting agents that allow it to penetrate oil stained concrete like we’ve never experienced. It doesn’t make oils water soluble like degreasers, so when pressure washed, the oils come out as solids leaving the concrete as clean as possible. “Old concrete yields the best results,” says Foate. That’s because it becomes dense as it ages. “We are seeing many markets unfold like parking decks where environmental cleanliness is even more important than curb appeal,” adds Foate. “I’ve had a lot of contractors call me over the past few years and encourage a comeback. When Larry called from Delco Cleaning Systems of Fort Worth, I knew the time was right. It’s great to be back!”
